Our lives were crossed several years ago with “sugar drops”. Apparently, they came to stay with us.
For that reason, we have sought the best way to explain certain things to our children within all those years…
Things that are not easy in themselves; but things that are essential for them to be able to understand and learn.

Every dream starts with an idea
Discovering that your child has a rare disease that causes hypoglycemia can feel like slap in the face.
Even more when you discover that hypoglycemia can cause irreversible brain damage, coma and even death.
Therefore, we have wanted to find a way for our children to learn what may be necessary, in the way they like it most: HAVING FUN.

DREAMING
We imagined a world of characters, games, stories and colors…
Also, that we could make it reach all children suffering from low blood sugars, not only ours.
Yet, we believed above all that our dreams were possible and we started walking.

The Dreamers
The Hippo House is a collaborative project of associations and families who believe that there is another way to explain to our children what they may need to know about sugar drops, their diseases and so on.
Also, that the best learning is done through playing, reading and good times shared with the family.
Yet, we are that kind of people who are not afraid to chase their dreams.
We’re pleased to share this road with you.
